About

Colfax Industries started at a kitchen table in Denver with a simple problem: the shirts we liked were either trying too hard or not trying at all.

We wanted something in between. Clothes and goods for the guy who’s still got it and doesn’t need to prove it; who has a sense of humor about himself; who wants to show he belongs somewhere. For us, that somewhere is Denver.

The Name

The name comes from Colfax Avenue, the street that runs through the middle of Denver’s story. It’s a little rough around the edges, it’s been here longer than most of us, and it connects every part of the city. That’s the kind of thing we want to make.

How Our Goods Are Made

Every design is drawn in Denver. Orders are printed and shipped to order by our production partner in the United States, which means nothing sits in a warehouse and nothing is wasted on inventory that never sells. Items are made after you order them, so please allow a few days for production before your package ships.

We start with one shirt we’ve worn for a month straight, and we’ll add things slowly: only what we’d buy ourselves.

Stories Behind the Goods

Our sister site, Denver Mountain Journal, tells the stories of the city, the foothills and the high country that shape what we make.
